Our training resources are now easier to access with specific locations to find the exact learning materials unique to the topic you are looking for.

Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA)

Wellpoint Iowa, Inc. and its network providers are required to cooperate with all state and federal agencies in investigating or prosecuting FWA. Providers can find more information on preventing, detecting, and reporting FWA by referring to either their Medicaid or Medicare provider manual. These provider manuals can be accessed by visiting the Training resources page.

Online training in Availity

Wellpoint offers online training to assist you in caring for our members with consideration of their personal language needs, thoughts, customs, beliefs, and values. All contracted health care providers with Wellpoint should first complete the Cultural Competency Training .

Access training within Availity Essentials

  1. Log in to the Availity Essentials* website .
  2. From the Availity Essentials home page, select Payer Spaces from the top navigation.
  3. Select the Wellpoint Iowa, Inc. health plan from the Payer Spaces menu.
  4. Select Access Your Custom Learning Center from the Applications tab.
  5. Complete your Profile if prompted.
  6. Select from the available courses listed, search the catalogue, or navigate to specific courses using the Filters menu on the left side of the screen.
