Health education — helping our members
Wellpoint Iowa, Inc. advocates a community approach to health education and outreach activities and has a proven record of collaborating with community and faith-based organizations, advocacy groups and other community resources in the health plan’s service area, as applicable. Our relationships have allowed us to effectively provide education and outreach activities through health fairs, community events and free health screenings. Our health education and outreach approach emphasizes healthy behaviors, preventive care and wellness.
We offer nine NCQA-accredited Condition Care/Population Health (CC/PH) programs that incorporate outreach, education, care coordination and follow-ups to improve treatment compliance and enhance self-care. Visit the CC/PHP page to learn more about our programs.
