Long-term services and supports (LTSS)
The long-term services and supports (LTSS) program helps older adults and people with disabilities live independently. We help coordinate services and supports, increase access to self-directed options, and provide a single point of contact to navigate complex systems of care.
Wellpoint Iowa, Inc. supports the following waiver programs:
- AIDS/HIV waiver
- Brain Injury waiver
- Children’s Mental Health waiver (administered by our Behavioral Health department)
- Elderly waiver
- Health and Disability waiver
- Intellectual Disability waiver
- Physical Disability waiver
Please refer to your provider manual for additional information on Iowa’s LTSS program.
Electronic visit verification
Electronic visit verification (EVV) uses technology to record the timing and location of caregivers/direct service workers during appointment check-in and checkout. EVV applies to attendants, providers and caregivers who deliver personal care to Iowa Health Link members. This change is required by a federal rule called the 21st Century Cures Act.
